Who we are

What we collect
Only what an enquiry actually needs. When you fill in the enquiry form on this site we collect:
- Your name, so we know who we are replying to.
- Your email address, so we can reply.
- Your preferred dates and your message, so we can tell you what is available.
- Basic technical data such as your IP address and browser, kept briefly by our host to keep the site running and to prevent spam.
We do not collect payment details on this website. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not build profiles of you, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone for marketing.
Why we can use it
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, because you asked us to and gave consent when you submitted the form. If you go on to book a stay, we use the same details to manage that booking. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies WordPress needs to work, plus caching cookies that help pages load quickly. We do not set advertising or analytics-profiling cookies, which is why you are not greeted by a cookie banner.
Who else sees your data
A short list, and only what each one needs to do its job:
- Our website host, Hostinger, which stores the site and its data.
- Our email provider, which delivers your enquiry to our inbox.
- The apartment’s on-site staff, who may receive your first name and arrival time so they can let you in.
We will also disclose information if the law requires it — for example, the guest registration requirements that apply to accommodation providers in India.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within twelve months. Booking and payment records are kept as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires, which is generally up to eight years.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. Email silverastays@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
One honest limit: we cannot delete records we are legally obliged to keep, such as invoices for a completed stay. We can delete everything else, and we will tell you exactly what was kept and why.
Under India’s Information Technology Rules you may raise a grievance with us at silverastays@gmail.com, and we will acknowledge it within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. We do not handle card or UPI details on this website. Access to the site’s administration is password protected.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell you and the relevant authority promptly rather than quietly.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will email anyone with an active enquiry or booking rather than relying on you to re-read this page.
